Job Description:
A B-BBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) Co-Ordinator will be responsible for managing, tracks, and reporting on the company's compliance with B-BBEE legislation. Collecting evidence, calculating scorecards across pillars like skills development and procurement, and preparing documentation for verification, ensuring adherence to the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act.
Key Responsibilities of a B-BBEE Administrator
- Data Collection & Management: Gathering, reviewing, and verifying evidence (Portfolio of Evidence - PoE) for all B-BBEE pillars, including ownership, management control, skills development, enterprise and supplier development, and socio-economic development.
- Scorecard Calculation: Analyzing B-BBEE data to calculate the company's current scorecard and tracking performance against targets.
- Verification Preparation: Preparing the final verification package for B-BBEE rating agencies and liaising with auditors.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring the company adheres to the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and sector-specific codes.
- Reporting: Providing monthly, quarterly, or annual reports on B-BBEE performance to management.
- Software Usage: Utilizing tools to automate, centralize evidence, and monitor expenditure.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of Legislation: Understanding of the B-BBEE Act and its amendments.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to work with data, spreadsheets, and calculations for scorecards.
- Administrative Proficiency: Strong organizational skills to manage large volumes of documentation.
- Communication: Ability to liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and external verification agents.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and dedicated B-BBEE software solutions.
