Job Description
About the role
The core purpose of this role is to contribute to building, great software for the Salable product. This position will work with the engineering team and the wider product team locally and remotely to shape the development of our startup Salable product.
As a Full Stack Engineer you will be expected to support your immediate team and also work independently to create, maintain and improve current and future Salable products and services.
What you'll be doing
- Perform root cause analysis to understand key, underlying causes of customer issues
- Debugging technical issues and formulate hypotheses
- Perform impact analysis and report on vulnerabilities
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of escalated technical issues
- Building demos, prototypes or proof-of-concepts (PoCs), gathering feedback and iterating quickly in a product or startup environment
- Designing, writing and testing solutions
- Complex, collaborative problem solving
- Performing code peer reviews
- Writing automated tests at unit, integration and functional levels and manage code quality within the team
- Troubleshooting builds and deployments
- Handling and owning support escalations
- Help foster an open atmosphere within the team
- Support and guide colleagues without judgment
- Embracing a continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
What we're looking for
- Software development skills in either TypeScript/JavaScript technologies
- ReactJS and NextJS Framework knowledge
- Pragmatic approach to testing new and legacy code
- Identifies opportunities to improve code through refactoring
- Uses Git process to improve own code and design as well as for others in your team
A few nice to haves
- Cloud Service Technologies. AWS, Lambda and API Gateway
- Cloud Hostings (AWS ECS, Vercel, PlanetScale, Svix)
- Working across the full development stack
- Knowledge of implementing and running CI / CD
- Design Systems including StoryBook
- Plugin / Integration development experience
