Senior Expert Network Engineering Transp

Job Description

Your day to Day

You will be accountable for Lifecycle, Capacity and Design of Vodafone Germany IP Core/Peering and Backhaul network.

You will create and execute technical solution and delivery plan for implementation of global technology evolution plan by liaising with different technology domains.

You will create and document technical solutions and define configurations based on internal and external demand.

You will be the interface to Operations as well as delivery departments.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business

•You will design of transport and backhaul services and responsibility for E2E solution including tool integration, access, transmission and infrastructure

•You will have lifecycle responsibility for IP Core & BH nodes ( Nokia, Cisco, Juniper): lifecycle planning and introduction of new HW/SW including testscope

•You will oversee planning and documentation of capacity and HW/SW rollout

•You will oversee creation of documentation like High Level-/ Low Level Designs, Router Configuration, Method of Procedures (MoP) and Guidelines

•You will work with cross functional technology teams, different stakeholders from business, technology and operational departments during solution design and implementation phases

•You will act as a part of the technical team of the project team to all stakeholders, including the customer and technology management.

With these skills you are a great candidate

•You have minimum 7 years experience in service provider transport network architectures and routing protocols

•You have hands-on experience in configuration of Routers/Switches and IP networks

•You have knowledge of routing and switching portfolio of transport network equipment vendors Nokia, Cisco and Juniper

•You have experience in E2E transport solution design, including fixed and mobile access services and peering and datacenter connectivity

•You have knowledge of Routed Optical Networks (RON)

•Automation know-how (SDN)

•You have commercial affinity, capability to do cost assessments for transport solutions

•You have very good communication skills to understand requirements and communicate effectively and solution oriented in an environment with multiple interfaces and stakeholders
