Job Description

Experience:

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• 4+ years relevant experience in Cyber Security, SIEM, Event Analysis, Security Incident investigation and management.,

• Should have an understanding about network and security concepts, SIEM technologies (ArcSight / ELK / Splunk / QRadar, Logrhythm, etc.)

• Should have decent understanding about SIEM correlation rules,

• Must have good analytical skills and communication skills

• Should be able to create playbooks.

• Aspire to learn about new threats in Cyber Security.

• Industry recognized security certifications like CCNA Cyber Ops,, CEH ,

• SANS certification would be an added advantage. .

• Should be able to mentor and guide new joiners in the team.

Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Impact on the business

• Investigate, Analyze and triage the security alerts.

• Participate in the daily-stand up calls

• Acts as primary technical subject matter expert.

• Build a knowledgebase by writing KB articles.

• Proactively work on fine-tuning and effort reduction ideas.

• Continuously work to stabilize the process.

• Sync up with Local Market CSIRT Teams for on-going Cases if needed.

• Documents SOP, KEDB, processes and procedures.

• Conduct brown bag sessions for the team members.

• Responsible for responding to security alerts and incidents and taking appropriate action to contain and mitigate the impact of the incident. Use various techniques to investigate the incident and gather evidence to determine the root cause.

• Responsible for managing security incidents from detection to resolution. Work closely with other teams to identify, contain, and remediate security incidents as quickly as possible. • The CSIRT collaborate with other teams for identifying and managing vulnerabilities in our systems.

• Maintaining internal communications and supervising operations during and after incidents.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and security teams to coordinate incident response efforts and improve overall security posture.

• Reporting: Prepare detailed incident reports and provide regular updates to management on the status of ongoing incidents.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to the development of incident response plans and procedures.\

Communication -

• Good communication skills in order to drive the various operationally required communication processes within the CDO and CSOC.
