About this Role

We are seeking an experienced monitoring professional to drive the migration and transformation of enterprise monitoring platforms from Icinga to Zabbix. This role plays a key part in consolidating monitoring capabilities across infrastructure and applications, enabling proactive observability, automation, and standardisation. The role also provides strong application monitoring and support within Siebel CRM environments and collaborates closely with infrastructure, database, and application teams.

What you’ll do

Administer, configure, and maintain the Zabbix monitoring platform across infrastructure and application landscapesLead and execute the end-to-end migration from Icinga to Zabbix, including planning, design, and implementationConfigure and manage hosts, templates, triggers, dashboards, and alerting mechanismsProvide monitoring integration, troubleshooting, and incident resolution support for Siebel CRM environmentsPerform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimisation of Zabbix components, including servers, proxies, and agentsDevelop and maintain automation scripts using Bash to improve monitoring, alerting, and operational efficiencyExecute SQL queries for reporting, data extraction, and backend database optimisationEnsure high availability and reliability of monitoring platforms across data centre and cloud environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard new services into monitoringProactively monitor system health and contribute to incident prevention initiativesSupport capacity planning and performance analysis using monitoring insights

Who you are

An individual with strong hands-on experience in Zabbix installation, configuration, and tuningExperienced in monitoring platform migration, ideally from Icinga to ZabbixSkilled in supporting enterprise applications, with proven experience in Siebel CRM environmentsProficient in Bash scripting and comfortable working with SQL for troubleshooting and reportingKnowledgeable in monitoring concepts such as thresholds, alerting, correlation, and dashboardsExperienced in Linux/Unix system administration and enterprise-scale infrastructure monitoringA collaborative problem-solver with an analytical mindset and strong troubleshooting skillsComfortable working in complex environments and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
