DESCRIPTION

  • Your main missions are focused on the operational maintenance, administration, and integration of the core observability and testing tool stack, ensuring system reliability and performance from an IT Operations perspective. The specialist acts as the subject matter expert (SME) and supervisor for all managed tools, handling configuration, health, and end-user support. He is responsible for the health, stability, and connectivity of the entire tool ecosystem

    The job position is located at Albacete, main plant of the Airbus Helicopters group in Spain.

    What can you expect from us? The Airbus Helicopters Group embraces the challenges of digitalization. Today, the Information Management (IM) directorate is contributing to its transformation, which is one of the key company objectives. Within the IM "Digital Platforms" domain, you belong to the service “Hosting & Cloud Services”, in the team “DataCenters & Resilience”. IM Hosting & Cloud Services plays a key role in the digitalization of our business. We achieve this by providing secure and resilient solutions for hosting Airbus Helicopters applications and data, both in the cloud and on-premises.

YOUR CHALLENGES

  • System Administration & Tool Health Supervision:
    • Supervision & health: Technically supervise all managed tools, monitoring their health, performance, and resource consumption (CPU, Memory, Storage, Network Flows).
    • Maintenance: Plan and execute regular patching, configuration changes, and version upgrades for their components (server nodes, agents, extensions, etc).
    • Security & access: Manage user access, roles, and permissions across all platforms, ensuring adherence to IT security policies and licensing compliance.
    • Capacity Management: Monitor and manage license utilization and capacity planning for all tools.
  • Global Vision & Tool Interface Management
    • Tool integration: Design, implement, and maintain the interfaces and integrations between all key monitoring, testing, and operations tools (e.g., integrating application alerts with infrastructure events; linking monitoring datas to performance tests).
    • Data correlation: Implement procedures and tools for cross-tool data correlation , enabling the Operations team to trace an issue from an infrastructure alert to application impact and back to corresponding test cases.
    • Reporting: Standardize metrics and build unified dashboards and reports that provide a Global Vision of system health and quality for IT Operations and leadership in relationship with internal customers
  • Monitoring & Observability Management
    • Application observability: Administer and optimize the deployment and configuration. Manage monitoring rules, baselines, and synthetic/real user monitoring configurations to ensure comprehensive application observability.
    • Infrastructure monitoring: Supervise the environment, ensuring complete coverage of servers, network devices, and databases. Manage host enrollment, template development, and ensure critical infrastructure alerts are routed appropriately.
    • Alerting & notification: Configure, tune, and manage alerting thresholds and notification channels within all tools to minimize alert noise while ensuring prompt response to critical events.
  • Technical Support & Collaboration
    • Support: Insure Level 2/3 Support and serve as the internal SME and technical escalation point for complex issues related to the operation or configuration of the managed tools.
    • Troubleshooting: Assist SRE, DevOps, and Development teams in using the monitoring data to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) during critical incidents.
    • QA support: Provide operational support to QA and performance engineering teams for executing tests, ensuring the environments are stable and configured correctly.
  • Documentation & Training
    • Documentation: Create and maintain up to date detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, architectural diagrams, and configuration documentation for all tools and their interfaces.
    • Knowledge transfer: Conduct internal workshops and training sessions to educate operations staff and key stakeholders on the effective utilization and new features of the managed tool stack.

SKILLS

  • Master's degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field
  • Experience with observability tools (monitoring, testing, alerting) proven
  • General knowledge on IT infrastructure (network, technical infrastructure) and ITIL concepts
  • Knowledge in scripting languages to develop automation
  • Proficiency in creating and managing technical documentation.
  • Proven production environment management; strong troubleshooting skills
  • Curious, open-minded, collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Autonomous, organized, delivery/customer-oriented, technology enthusiast and crisis facing robustness
  • Experience working on projects with international teams and stakeholders
  • Fluent English
