Role Purpose

To support Vodafone’s key strategic growth areas in Digital industry following the Agile mind-set.

This role will be leading digital squads responsible for delivering Vodafone Business app and website. The Product Owner will play a critical role in defining and prioritizing app and web requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery on time.

As a Product Owner, you will bridge the gap between our business and development teams, ensuring that the vision is effectively communicated and translated into actionable goals for the squads. Your primary focus will be to drive the successful development, implementation, and delivery of high-quality features for both app and website; that meet enterprise needs and business objectives.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint plans, prioritizing requirements and features based on strategic objectives, customer needs, and user feedback.
Digital experience acumen is a must from understanding business needs to implementing successful UI/X and going to market with new features.

Job Profile

• Lead and manage cross-functional digital squads, comprising designers, developers, testers, and other team members; to ensure efficient collaboration and delivery within specified timelines.
• Define requirements and prioritize features, create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the overall business strategy, ensuring clear visibility into upcoming user stories.
• Ensure that customer needs and expectations are understood and prioritized throughout the development process.
• Apply Agile principles and methodologies to manage the digital squads and ensure effective execution.
• Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing briefs on new features, prioritize content action items, collaborate with UI/UX to create effective wireframes to illustrate product features and functionalities
• Strong customer insight and behavioral analysis skills in the Business Solutions (software & hardware) landscape to inform product design and pricing.

Competencies and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within the digital space, preferably managing mobile app and website.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, and experience in leading Agile-driven teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Language requirements:
• English (B2 or above)
Any other non-native language an advantage.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field – Marketing & Management degrees are accepted as well with proven work experience
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of Agile concepts
• Possessing prior experience from 2-4 years as a Product owner
• JIRA/Confluence, or equivalent experience
• Must have proven hands-on experience in managing projects in agile environments.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and team building skills; articulate and able to steer a meeting with presence.
• Ability to maintain calm attitude during difficult situations and handle pressure situations.
• Self-starter & self-motivated with a drive to identify opportunities for improvement across the agile delivery processes.
• Highly independent, takes ownership, does not need to be told what to do and seeks feedback and execute actions.
• Digital advertising & Demand generation is a plus
