About this Role

We are seeking a Product Owner to join the Software & Product Infrastructure team within Infrastructure Engineering. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex technology products and initiatives delivered in an international environment involving suppliers, Vodafone OpCos and Group Technology stakeholders. The position combines product ownership, technology strategy, roadmap management and project delivery responsibilities, ensuring that hardware and software solutions are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with global Vodafone architecture standards.As a senior Product Owner, the role owns product strategy and roadmap sequencing across multiple product streams, gathers and prioritises requirements, drives feasibility assessments and implementation planning, and contributes to security and compliance-related initiatives while operating within an agile delivery framework.

What you’ll do

  • Own, prioritise and maintain the product backlog, translating business strategy into features, user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Gather, analyse and validate stakeholder and user requirements, defining product outcomes and priorities.
  • Build and maintain the technology strategy and integration vision aligned with product objectives.
  • Collaborate with teams managing VOIS products to define and evolve product roadmaps.
  • Sequence and manage roadmaps across multiple product streams to maximise business value.
  • Produce and deliver technology plans supporting product evolution and strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to define and agree product capabilities and feature priorities.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, Solution Designers and Architects to develop detailed implementation plans and designs.
  • Coordinate supplier selection activities and manage ongoing vendor engagement, including technical requirements, compliance, roadmaps and performance reviews.
  • Support onboarding activities and facilitate knowledge-transfer sessions for new team members.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, investigations, documentation, process improvements and cross-functional projects.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, security developments and compliance requirements to support continuous product improvement.
  • Promote agile practices that enhance delivery speed, collaboration and productivity within the team.

Who you are

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner working within scalable agile delivery environments.
  • Experience owning product strategy, roadmap prioritisation and backlog management.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end solution design and delivery across complex technology environments.
  • Experience coordinating virtual and geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience with audit and external audit processes.
  • Experience designing and implementing SaaS, IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of access management platforms, digital channels, mobile applications and telecommunications services.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Project management experience within enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a telecommunications organisation or a global technology company.
  • Good understanding of middleware technologies and integration concepts.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Single Sign-On technologies including OpenID, SAML and OAuth.
  • Experience working with identity and access management concepts including LDAP, ABAC and RBAC.
  • Good understanding of web technologies, microservices, mobile network technologies, 4G/LTE, 5G and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to continuous technical and professional development.
