About this Role

We are seeking a Unified Communications DevOps Engineer to develop scalable automation, observability and data analytics solutions that improve the efficiency, quality and reliability of network operations.Based in Pune and working within the Unified Communications operational team, you will collaborate with network subject-matter experts to identify automation and monitoring opportunities. You will design, develop, test and support solutions using technologies such as Python, APIs, microservices, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, the Elastic Stack, Kubernetes and cloud platforms.This role requires practical experience of Agile and DevOps delivery, including continuous integration and continuous deployment. You will take responsibility for solution quality through unit, integration, functional and performance testing, while supporting the availability and performance of operational services. The working pattern may include shifts, nights, weekends or overtime according to operational requirements.

What you’ll do

Design, build, test and maintain scalable automation and data analytics solutions that improve the efficiency and quality of Unified Communications network operations.Collaborate with network subject-matter experts to identify automation, monitoring and operational improvement opportunities.Create automation frameworks using data analytics, APIs, microservices, GitHub and observability technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana and the Elastic Stack.Configure and enhance monitoring and tracing services, including Grafana, Prometheus, the Elastic Stack and Jaeger, to support new metrics, alerts, logs, analytics and distributed tracing.Develop automation using Python, PHP or UiPath, selecting an appropriate approach for the relevant operating environment.Apply continuous integration and continuous deployment practices throughout solution development and delivery.Work in an Agile delivery environment, contributing to planning, prioritisation, development, testing and continuous improvement activities.Validate assigned scope and delivery estimates, provide accurate progress updates and raise delivery, quality or dependency risks promptly.Support the development, assessment and optimisation of network systems and services in line with agreed standards and designs.Troubleshoot infrastructure issues affecting server capacity, availability and service performance.Investigate and resolve monitoring-tool and data-related issues, providing specialist advice during operational incident resolution.Recommend effective use of monitoring and analytics capabilities based on business and operational needs.Create and maintain accurate technical, operational and project documentation

Who you are

You have at least five years of relevant experience in scripting, automation, observability or data analytics solutions.You have hands-on experience with several of the following technologies: Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, the Elastic Stack, microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, Linux, AWS, Google Cloud, Python and JSON.You understand continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing and Agile delivery practices.You can design object-oriented solutions and write maintainable, testable code.You are proficient in data analytics tools and have experience with development or operational tools such as GitHub, Microsoft applications and PuTTY.You have an understanding of networking and databases.You can analyse technical issues, develop practical solutions and communicate recommendations clearly.You communicate effectively in spoken and written English and can work collaboratively with technical and operational stakeholders.You are committed to continuous learning and keeping your knowledge current as technologies and service offerings develop.You hold a Bachelor of Technology degree or a Master of Computer Applications qualification
