
Sustainability Operations & Disclosures specialist
Job Description
Role Purpose
This role has been created to ensure that the Group Sustainable Business team has the operational processes and tools in place to efficiently deliver our sustainability agenda across the global business.
To deliver against our team priorities, we must ensure that our sustainability efforts are underpinned by a well-maintained operating model, strong governance, and high-quality disclosures.
Reporting into our Global ESG Operations and Disclosures Lead, this role will be pivotal in ensuring that key processes are in place to deliver Vodafone’s ESG strategy.

What you’ll do
- Conduct research and peer benchmarking analysis. Examples could be peer benchmarking of disclosures related to voluntary and compliance-based reporting frameworks.
- Support drafting voluntary disclosures and day-to-day project management in relation to our voluntary disclosures (i.e. CDP, EcoVadis and UNGC Communication on Progress).
- Coordinate and project manage the development of video productions, animations for external reporting, general website updates and external/internal communications.
- Support existing governance processes e.g gathering input from key stakeholders from across the business and functions.
- Co-ordinate the team’s delivery of and provide input to draft papers for the various ESG governance committees.
- Support with planning, communications and processes relating to Vodafone’s response to upcoming reporting requirements.
- Contribute ideas and implement operational changes relating to process improvement.
- Provide support on transformation programmes and lighthouse projects led by the team.
- Successful diary management and coordination of papers to the ESG Board and other governance bodies.
- Liaising with SMEs and arranging successful delivery of content (in a timely manner) for e.g. our voluntary reports, website and other (external) disclosures
Who you are
- A bachelor’s or Masters degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science or ESG finance/ reporting or accounting.
- Ideally the candidate has experience in project management and embraces the challenge of dealing with the complexities of running sustainability programs in a large, international organisation.
- Ability to adapt their style to different stakeholders
- Ideally the candidate is familiar with AI based tools and software applications such as Power BI or similar (but not essential)

- Discretionary yearly bonus: 10%
- Annual leave: 28 days + bank holidays + the opportunity to buy/sell/carry over 5 days/year
