
Specialist Group Schemes Administrator

Role Purpose/Business Unit:
In order to effectively operationalize the administration of Group Schemes we require the skills of a group schemes specialist to facilitate the following functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creates pay points for new schemes
- Loading of monthly data for new and existing schemes
- Effect changes of benefit structures
- Actively involved with new product set up on the MIP system
- Test and signoff schemes once set up on the MIP system
- Runs bulk data imports
- Receipting and collections process per scheme
- Premium allocation of collected premiums on member level
- Daily management of debit orders, payments and rejections
- Manage the relationship with 3rd parties

Job Knowledge:
- Understanding different scheme types, their objectives, and how they work in practice. This includes knowledge of eligibility criteria, benefit structures, and operational procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including members, employers, regulators, and other external parties.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team of scheme administrators, ensuring effective performance and collaboration.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Grade 12/Matric or min of 5 years working experience in related financial fields
- Telecommunication Insurance experience (+- 5 years)
- Excel, Word, Powerpoint experience
