Job Description

About this Role

As the Senior Product Manager for AI Infrastructure as a Service, you will define, build and scale Vodafone’s Sovereign GPU as a Service (GPUaaS) proposition, working in close partnership with our Sovereign Cloud team. The offering is aimed at midmarket customers who want to adopt AI but need to do so within sovereign, compliant and cost-predictable boundaries. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle – from proposition definition and commercial model, through launch, in-life management and roadmap evolution – for a portfolio of sovereign GPU and AI-infrastructure services spanning bare-metal and virtualised GPU capacity, inference and small model training environments, and the supporting tooling.

You will translate the AI-adoption needs of midmarket customers into a differentiated infrastructure proposition that removes the cost, complexity and compliance barriers that hold this segment back. Working hand-in-hand with the Sovereign Cloud team, you will ensure the offering is built on genuinely sovereign foundations – EU data residency, operational sovereignty and the relevant certifications – and you will define how GPU capacity is packaged, priced and consumed so that customers can start small and scale as their AI maturity grows.

You will build and own the roadmap for the offering, evolving it from core GPU capacity towards higher-value AI platform services, and prioritise investment based on customer value, technical feasibility and commercial return. A particular focus is enabling AI adoption at the midmarket: you will partner with local markets to build the go-to-market motion, reference architectures and customer proof points that make sovereign AI infrastructure accessible and trusted. You will work across Group and Local Product Managers, Sovereign Cloud engineering, partners (GPU/silicon vendors, sovereign platform providers and ISVs) and Finance to shape a compelling and commercially sound offering.

What you’ll do

Key Accountabilities

  1. Proposition & Portfolio Strategy: Define a differentiated, customer-centric Sovereign GPU as a Service proposition for the midmarket. Lead strategic planning with a market and segment perspective, and own the prioritisation of budget and resources to align with business value. Recommend and agree the overall investment envelope to deliver a strong commercial outcome and business case. Maintain and develop an AI Infrastructure portfolio strategy aligned to this fast moving market.
  2. Build & Commercial Model: In partnership with the Sovereign Cloud team, design the operating and commercial model – capacity packaging, consumption models and pricing – and align delivery with target markets and segments. Identify and implement ways to accelerate performance and reduce time to market.
  3. Roadmap & Delivery: Own the end-to-end product roadmap, from core sovereign GPU capacity through to higher-value AI platform services (inference, training, model hosting and MLOps). Prioritise features on the basis of customer value, technical feasibility and commercial return.
  4. Customer Success – AI Adoption & Revenue: Drive go-to-market alignment, reference architectures, customer proof points and case studies, and deliver revenue growth. Capture customer feedback and channel it into the roadmap.
  5. Partnerships & Ecosystem: Manage relationships with GPU/silicon vendors, sovereign platform partners and ISVs to reach strategic alignment and secure the capacity, technology and economics the offering depends on.
  6. Internal & External Communications: Act as an internal and external thought leader for sovereign AI infrastructure. Ensure the stakeholder map and communications plan is current and executed with impact.

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience

  1. Experience in a similar product management role within the Telco, cloud or IT infrastructure industry
  2. Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure – GPU compute, inference and training workloads, model hosting and MLOps
  3. Understanding of cloud and sovereign cloud principles – data residency, operational sovereignty and jurisdictional control
  4. Knowledge of the midmarket segment and its AI adoption drivers and barriers
  5. Excellent communicator – clear, precise written and verbal style; facilitation skills a plus
  6. Commercial and business-case development skills, including consumption-based pricing
  7. Experience working in a customer-facing, influential position, building strong relationships with peers and stakeholders
  8. A problem solver – able to identify root causes, make decisions and implement, working without close supervision
