About this Role

We are seeking a skilled GCP Platform Architect to join our VFDE Platform Team. This role involves designing and implementing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure solutions with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and cost optimisation. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, automated, and efficient cloud solutions.

What you will do

Design and implement GCP infrastructure solutions focusing on scalability, security, and cost optimisation.Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Cloud Build.Architect and deploy serverless solutions leveraging Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and other GCP components.Configure and optimise Load Balancers, Managed Instance Groups (MIG), and compute resources.Write and maintain Terraform code, including custom modules for reusable infrastructure components.Automate operational tasks using Shell scripting or Python.Collaborate with solution architects to design infrastructure from an architectural perspective for new projects.Ensure best practices in security, monitoring, and compliance across GCP environments.

What skills you need

Expert-level knowledge of GCP infrastructure services (Compute, Networking, IAM, Serverless, etc.).Strong experience in DevOps practices and tools: Jenkins, ArgoCD, Cloud Build.Advanced proficiency in Terraform, including creating custom modules.Deep understanding of Cloud Run and other serverless components in GCP.Hands-on experience with Load Balancers, MIG, and GCP networking.Strong automation skills using Shell or Python scripting.Ability to design solutions from an architectural perspective for infrastructure-level requirements.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Must-have certifications: Google Professional Cloud ArchitectGoogle Professional Cloud Network EngineerHashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
