About this Role

We are seeking a Google Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The individual will work across cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, security, and monitoring, collaborating closely with engineering and architecture teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services into enterprise systems. This role is ideal for those with practical GCP experience, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to building reliable cloud‑native environments.

What you’ll do

  • Architect and deploy cloud‑native applications and infrastructure on GCP, ensuring scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage and optimise Google Cloud resources, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, networking, BigQuery, Dataproc, and Dataflow.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, and Spinnaker, following GitOps principles where applicable.
  • Automate deployments using Terraform, Helm charts, or similar tools to support consistent, repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
  • Implement secure IAM policies, encryption standards, and GCP security best practice across cloud services.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and propose enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including developers, data engineers, and architects to integrate cloud solutions with enterprise applications and workflows.

Who you are

  • Skilled in key GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.
  • Proficient in Python programming and experienced with scripting languages such as Bash.
  • Able to work with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools including Terraform and Helm charts.
  • Familiar with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Spinnaker.
  • Knowledgeable in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration principles.
  • Strong understanding of GCP networking concepts and identity management.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Possess 3–5+ years of relevant cloud engineering experience.
  • GCP Associate or Professional Cloud Engineer certification is preferred.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, GitOps workflows, distributed computing frameworks (Apache Beam, Spark), and analytics/warehousing solutions on GCP is a plus.
