Role Purpose

Accountable for leading Vodafone M&A projects from a Technology (EVO SAP) perspective. This role supports projects in the portfolio of mayor M&A projects. These projects can have various technical scenarios depending on the nature of the M&A deal:

  • System carve Out using SAP SLO services or other SLO service providers
  • Balance sheet Spin Off of Vodafone business units to form new legal entities
  • Data extraction for divested entities
  • Joint Ventures
  • Mergers of different dimensions: this can be mergers of mayor operating companies or smaller operational mergers to optimize the Vodafone portfolio of legal entities.

The EVO SAP M&A Product Portfolio Manager is accountable for the end to end demand, design, build and deploy of the required system changes to execute M&A activities. This role is a senior product manager managing the full M&A lifecycle and critical senior business relationships and leadership of projects. Supporting the EVO M&A Product Portfolio Lead in delivering EVO related M&A projects. Starting with the M&A deal negotiations, this regards all matters of the EVO ERP platform and the definition of the EVO TSA (Transition Service Agreement).
Setting and delivering the strategy to execute the M&A deal in order to integrate new organisations into our EVO IT platforms, spin off business units into separate legal entities or to support the exit from EVO of divested entities. Managing the complete EVO platform across Finance and Supply Chain. Building a highly skilled product team capable to handle the various M&A scenarios.


The EVO technology suite compromises of a large SAP estate, Google GCP, SaaS solutions and on-premise applications. Main products/platforms in scope:


 SAP S4 Hana Finance and Supply Chain
 SAP Success Factors
 Ariba
 Concur
 Field Glass
 SAP Business Intelligence
 MDG
 Further smaller and mid-size applications for Finance, Supply Chain and
HR.

The responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end (E2E) responsibility for M&A project delivery on the EVO SAP platform.
  • Lead M&A integration, carve-out, spin-off and divestiture activities from a technology and systems perspective.
  • Define strategy and execution roadmap for incorporating or separating legal entities within the ERP landscape.
  • Act as key technology contact during M&A negotiations, including drafting Transition Service Agreements (TSAs).
  • Build and lead a product team skilled in managing diverse M&A scenarios.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects, managing vendors and offshore teams.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, SOX, GDPR, architecture standards and vulnerability controls.
  • Provide cost and resource estimates to support business cases for M&A initiatives.
  • Manage the SAP-based ERP landscape across Finance, Supply Chain and HR domains.

What you bring

  • 10+ years’ experience in delivering ERP projects in international and complex environments.
  • Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, plus SAP SCM and HR modules (e.g., SuccessFactors).
  • Demonstrated experience in M&A projects (Carve-Outs, Spin-Offs, Joint Ventures, Mergers).
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage external vendors.
  • Experience working with offshore shared service centers.
  • Fluent in business English. Advanced level.
  • University degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting.
  • SAP certification in Finance or SCM.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud technologies (GCP, SaaS platforms).
  • Knowledge of Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, SAP BI, MDG.
  • Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI/ML in enterprise solutions.
  • Experience in Telco or multinational corporations.
  • Knowledge of security and audit frameworks.
  • Familiarity with IT governance standards, including SOX and GDPR.
  • Previous experience managing OPEX budgets.
