As a central department, the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Department supports managers, works councils and employees in the implementation of occupational health and safety-relevant legal requirements, as well as those of the Vodafone Group. The thematic focus is on safety organization, ergonomics at the workplace, coordination of psychological risk assessment, and the management of supplier services. The support includes the VGSG headquarters in Düsseldorf, and all other locations where VOIS employees perform their work activities.
As a safety, health and wellbeing lead, the holder of the position takes on the duties of an occupational safety specialist in accordance with the Occupational Safety Act and the Accident Prevention Regulation DGUV-V2 "Company Doctors and Occupational Safety Specialists". This includes the independent development and implementation of concepts that ensure and continuously improve compliance with the statutory occupational health and safety guidelines, implementation of Vodafone and VOIS SHW guidelines, as well as the support and advice of managers on occupational safety issues, especially in the preparation of risk assessments and other relevant occupational health and safety documents, as well as the development of practical solutions. This involves the support of all business areas and the management of all external occupational safety and health specialists. Based on the risk assessments, the job holder creates information and training material or aligns it with the existing framework and conducts training independently.

What you will do

Main Tasks:
• Carrying out risk assessments
• Support regarding SHW for all business areas
• Development of concepts
• Incident investigations and continuous improvement of SHW
• Development of practical solutions
• Management of external specialists for occupational safety
• Implementation of training Courses

Interfaces:
• Internal customers (all business units. HR business partners, company doctors, works councils),
• External partners (ASUC, BAD)
• High-risk suppliers
• Authorities

• Responsible and reliable as well as proactive, structured, self-reliant and team-oriented way of working.
• Ability to identify the potential for improvement, develop and implement innovative solutions.
• Clear and unambiguous communication, ability to present complex issues in an understandable way and confident appearance, as well as assertiveness. Very good presentation skills.

What sets you apart

• SIFA Certificate

  • Experience with Stakeholder Management (Work Council)

• Successfully completed studies in safety engineering. Several years of professional experience in an occupational safety specialist role.
• Sound knowledge of preventive fire protection (training as a fire protection officer)
• Management systems course, according to ISO 45001 (recommended), is an advantage.
• NEBOSH General Certificate and Management systems internal auditor courses is an advantage.
• Confident in using common MS Office applications
• Teamwork
• Experience of management systems based on the principle of continuous improvement (PDCA) and non-conformity management.
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to quickly recognize complex relationships.
• Obvious auditor skills, synthesis and reporting capacity.
• Customer orientation, motivation, enthusiasm.
• Fluent in Writing and Speaking of German and English
