What you’ll do

The purpose of this role is to manage strategical and tactical reverse logistics operations ensuring that supply chain management is fully integrated with business strategies.
The Reverse Logistics Manager organizes the storage and distribution of return goods ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost and helps to develop and implement best fit inventory management processes.

Handling and storing of materials through activities such as loading, unloading and moving articles in a warehouse or storage room, tracking products transported on to recycling partner, Vodafone warehouses and individual suppliers. Working according to orders to inspect materials and producing accurate documentation for the handling of items.
• Partnering with Technology & Central functions to enable the effective mindset and process transition to material-level decommissioning planning.
• Governance of planning processes to embed the use of returns within the DB, and ensure zero missed opportunity to reuse assets locally.
• Driving network segmentation to reuse older technology as substitute to evolution products.
• Benchmarking physical returns to the warehouse vs. forecast and available network data
• Optimizing the reverse supply chain considering local reuse and AMP.
• Optimizing inventory performance, including driving decision making to maximize return on investment (ROI).
• Ensure Vodafone’s compliance with relevant contractual terms to return hardware to its OEMs, and relevant environmental legislation.
• Managing end-to-end recovery transactions in SAP system, and governing the Technology verticals to ensure system adoption by decom. Partners.
• Identifying current gaps and exploring internal & external best practices and proven approaches - case studies or proof-points.
• Root-cause analysis to reduce decom. & Transport damage or quality issues
• Hardware refurbishment, where commercially viable.
• Developing & executing scalable reuse, repair, upcycle and recycle solutions aligned with Vodafone’s Purpose and zero landfill target.
• Ensure supplier compliance with relevant environmental legislation and supporting internal audit of E2E processes.
• Interface into Central Functions for systems enhancement.
• Typically reports to Logistics Manager.

Core KPIs
The Reverse Logistics Manager would be responsible for KPIs including:
- Logistics Operations Management KPIs;
o Health and Safety KPIs
o On time and in full return inbound to warehouses
o On time and in full delivery to/from base stations
o Stock /Inventory accuracy at warehouses
o Returns handling KPIs
o Claims management KPIs
o Spare parts logistics KPIs
- Inventory KPIs;
o Reuse of returns at warehouses
o Inventory levels at warehouses and in transit to base stations
o Inventory ageing at warehouses and in transit to base stations
o Inventory accuracy at base stations

Who you are

Process & Performance Analytics - Able to deconstruct and analyze processes, producing effective outcomes via the creation of and use of visual representation of captured data. Able to communicate and present insights and efficiently using statistics and/or graphical representation. Make recommendations and enable decisions that can be directly linked to SCM and the wider business objectives.
System & Process Transformation - Challenge the existing systems and processes by using tangible reference points to propose / implement efficiency opportunities to drive simplicity, speed and improved user experience.
Distribution Operations - Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
Warehousing Operations - Knowledge on strategic purchasing, logistics drivers, negotiations with vendors. Knowledge on receiving and storing product effectively and improving by designing and development efficient movement and storage systems.
Inventory Management - Knowledge on managing inventory levels, naming stock, tracking material requests, reorder dates, forecasting, pricing, inventory costs, variants and organizing all aspects of inventory.

Other than those above;
- Engineering degree from a reputable university
- 5+ years of applicable work experience in Logistics operations management (warehousing, inbound outbound distribution, recycling and customs operations)
- Experience in vendor/3PL management. Leadership experience in blue colour workforce is preferred
- Excellence in internal and external stakeholder management and business partnering
- Fluent usage of English
- Lives in Istanbul
