Role Purpose

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Public Affairs Executive to join Vodafone Ireland’s External Communications team on a one‑year contract. This role is designed to provide critical support across our public affairs, policy, stakeholder engagement and government relations activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, strategically important function within Vodafone Ireland.

  • Conduct initial policy and legislative analysis to identify key implications, opportunities and risks.
  • Assist in drafting consultation responses, policy submissions and input into Group reporting.

Internal Coordination and Programme Support

  • Support cross‑functional coordination across Vodafone Ireland teams involved in regulation, legal, corporate security, corporate communications and more.
  • Assist in programme management for priority public affairs initiatives for the organisation in 2026 ahead of the Irish Presidency of the EU and as Vodafone marks 25 years in Ireland this year.
  • Coordinate logistics for a busy schedule of events, policy forums, roundtables and external engagements in 2026.

About You – What You Will Bring

  • Two years’ experience in public affairs, politics, public policy, communications, government relations or a related field.
  • Strong interest in Irish and EU politics and knowledge of the Irish political system.
  • Government and/or agency experience a bonus.
  • A degree in Law, Politics, Public Policy, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
