What you’ll do

This role has the purpose of supporting the sales teams in bespoke communication solutions sales processes. Mainly this role ensures the design and cost evaluation of fixed and converged telecommunication solutions for the Medium Enterprise and Corporate segments. Some cases require customer meetings for requirements assessment and solutions presentation.

1. Sales teams Support

  • Support the sales teams in the selling process
  • Collaborate with sales teams in opportunities evaluation for correct process prioritization
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities based on network technology knowledge
  • Participate in customer meetings and conference calls for opportunity evaluation and requirements assessment
  • Present solutions to the customers whenever required during the selling process

2. Solution Design

  • Provide a solution design and proposal description for Fixed and Converged Communications customer requirements
  • Specify and evaluate access links
  • Specify and evaluate the adequate equipment
  • Specify the required services, like Internet Access, IP MPLS Data VPN, Layer 2 VPN, backup and redundant services, OneNet, Voice, Voice VPN, etc including the reference prices and the standard proposal descriptions
  • Require transmission and network evaluation for technical validation and cost assessment
  • Evaluate the risk of customer required SLAs
  • Specify and evaluate external ICT supplier offers, such as PABX, Data Center and Cloud Services, Cybersecurity solutions, Unified Comunications, Managed services etc. and include them in the technical and commercial proposal

3. Large & Complex solution evaluation

  • Ensure continuous alignment of all activities related with complex and considerable dimension projects
  • Responsible for actively engaging Engineering (network, services and support) teams, for technical project validation
  • Responsible for actively engaging Customer Operations teams for processes evaluation and development
  • Responsible for actively engaging all Enterprise Business Unit teams: Implementation, for project hand-over, Carrier, for international connections, and Product, for pricing and product related maters
  • Responsible for engaging external suppliers for required components that are not included in Vodafone offer
  • Responsible for actively engaging Finance departments for specific business case evaluation
  • Responsible for the technical description of the proposal

4. Professional Development

  • Self acquire specific knowledge related with fixed and mobile technology currently in use in Large and Medium enterprises
  • Keep up to date with all existing processes and tools necessary for solutions design, delivery and support

Who you are

  • Minimum of 3 years graduate experience in appropriate business sector, fixed and mobile telecommunications
  • Track record of enterprise solutions design and/or delivery that covers technical, process and commercial aspects
  • Experience in enterprise solutions design on all relevant services, data, voice, IP telephony, data VPN, security, video-conferencing, datacenter services
  • Experience in project solutions and equipment certification process methodologies including project planning and control techniques
  • Enterprise network solutions
  • Access Networks and protocols (ADSL, SHDSL, FTTH, MW, FWA,SDH/PDH, MetroLAN)
  • Data Networks and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, Layer 2, Network Management, Security, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN)
  • Cybersecurity Solutions (Firewalls, IPS, URL Filtering, Application Control, SOC, AntiDDoS, SASE)
  • ICT Solutions (Unified Communications and Collaboration, Video conferencing solutions, ACD solutions, Desktop Virtualization, Public Cloud solutions, Data Center technology, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS service models)
  • Good Telco and ICT markets perception and understanding with focus on competition assessment and competitive analysis
  • Complete understanding of the telecommunications industry, in particular the fixed industry, as well as business modelling experience and knowledge on fixed products and market trends
  • Creative and open character, known for supporting and developing new ideas and technologies
  • Good interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
