About this Role

We are seeking a Payroll Transformation Solution Owner to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise payroll solutions. You will be accountable for business outcomes, product backlog priorities, cross-market alignment and the effective implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.The role requires end-to-end ownership of payroll transformation, from future-state process design and requirements definition through testing, cutover, go-live and early-life support. You will work across multiple markets, balancing global standards with local statutory and operational requirements, including those relevant to Germany, Portugal and South Africa

What you’ll do

  • Own the payroll transformation workstream and product backlog, aligning priorities with business objectives, statutory obligations, delivery milestones and measurable value.Provide functional leadership for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll or a comparable enterprise payroll platform.Define future-state payroll processes that balance global standards with market-specific statutory and operational requirements.Lead, coach and coordinate team members and cross-functional contributors, establishing clear accountability for deliverables.Partner with Product Managers, market payroll teams, HR, Finance, Technology, implementation partners and other stakeholders to agree requirements, decisions and delivery plans.Guide requirements through design, build, testing, cutover, go-live and early-life support.Proactively manage delivery risks, dependencies, controls and decisions.Ensure that data quality, information security, auditability, payroll controls, integrations and operational readiness are addressed throughout the solution lifecycle.Drive payroll simplification, standardisation, automation and continuous improvement while maintaining a positive employee and stakeholder experience.Apply JIRA and SAFe Agile practices to backlog management, sprint planning, Program Increment planning, progress tracking and transparent reporting.Explain complex payroll matters clearly and support informed decision-making among senior stakeholders and market teams.

Who you are

You have strong implementation experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, including responsibility for end-to-end delivery.You bring payroll implementation experience covering Germany, Portugal and South Africa, together with an understanding of country-specific statutory and payroll requirements.You have demonstrated leadership and people-management capability, including coaching, work allocation, performance support and delivery governance.You understand end-to-end payroll processes and their dependencies on Employee Central, Time and Attendance, Benefits, Finance and external service providers.You can manage stakeholders, negotiate effectively and support decisions within complex, multi-market environments.You can translate business needs into clear requirements and practical solution outcomes while maintaining appropriate controls and compliance.You have experience managing delivery partners and cross-functional teams through testing, cutover, go-live, stabilisation and continuous improvement.You are proficient in JIRA and have working knowledge of SAFe Agile or comparable delivery methodologies.You bring strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and risk-management skills.You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related discipline.You have experience leading teams or managing a significant payroll solution or transformation workstream.You have worked within enterprise-scale, multi-country HR or payroll transformation programmes.
