What you’ll do

Role purpose:
The Operations Business Manager enables effective leadership across Network Operations UK and Managed Services by providing structured business, operational and governance support. Acting as a trusted partner to the Managed Services & Group UK Operations Director, the role drives clarity, pace and alignment by coordinating priorities, managing actions and ensuring strong operational rhythm across UK and Group teams.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Support the Director in planning, prioritisation and execution of Managed Services and Group UK Operations objectives.
• Own planning, coordination of materials for key business meetings and communication cascades.
• Support preparation of governance materials, and status updates for senior stakeholders.
• Act as a key interface between the Director and senior stakeholders across UK, Group Managed Services and external stakeholders. (Comms, HR, L&D)
• Collate insights from operational data, engagement feedback and programme updates to inform decision making.
• Light calendar and administrative support (Diary alignments, Town Halls, Travel & Expenses)

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Proven experience supporting leaders in managing priorities, actions and operational cadence within a complex organisation
• Exposure to operational change and transformation.
• Confidence with key stakeholder engagement, no matter the level or whether internal or external.
• Experience collating information, data and inputs to produce concise insights for senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to flex between BAU activity and ad hoc project support in response to shifting business priorities.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Experience producing leadership ready slide packs, trackers and updates using structured data inputs
• Experience coordinating meetings, governance cycles, actions and decision logs to support senior leadership effectiveness.
• Ability to operate with discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive business and people information
