Role Title: Network Demand, Logistic Planner & Analyst
Location: Newbury / London & Hybrid*
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What You’ll Do
You will support the alignment of Vodafone’s Network Hardware Strategy and Deliverables, building relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, providing a key communication line to our deployment direct partners. Manage hardware availability against the agreed SCM contractual obligations, SLAs and KPIs ensuring NDC programmes are supported with forecasted hardware requirements deployed on the Radio Access Network.

This role will proactively manage hardware demand and associated logistics on behalf of Network Deployment and Connectivity and continuously support the improvement of NDC strategies, systems, processes, controls and capabilities required to achieve timely hardware availability and governance control points.

This role requires the Demand Planner to support the UK Networks Demand and Supply Manager to deliver the Operational outcome of:

  • Regional Hardware Demand forecasts and procurement of hardware against project deliverables.
  • Management of supplier relationships, delivery of materials against programme requirements and influencing of external vendors
  • Management of Inventory within Partner warehouses and ensure compliancy against the “90-day rule”
  • Responsible to drive down overall stock within Network Inventory
  • Effectively manage assigned suppliers through governance forums.
  • Asset control of materials against programme demands and alignment to budget demands.

Key Responsibilities:

To deliver the outcomes, the role has the following responsibilities:

  • Management of stakeholder relationships and deliverable of materials against programme requirements
  • Interface with internal programmes on demand forecast and trend analysis
  • Management of stock utilisation and driving down overall stock holding.
  • Responsible for managing the lifecycle of hardware including but not limited to forward and reverse logistics.
  • Responsible for being the interface between vendors and internal customers
  • Responsible for identifying risks to Vodafone and providing suggested mitigations.

Core Competencies, Knowledge & Experience

  • A knowledge of the development and management of logistics and asset management within the telecoms sector
  • Strong understanding of the UK telecoms and logistics eco-system, including the factors that constrain, enable and enhance its capability.
  • Experience of managing relationships with internal business customers and external suppliers, by the development of relationships to ensure the mutual business needs are met.
  • Proven to take full accountability for planning and delivering viable options
  • Experience of the methodologies, processes and capabilities required to deliver warehousing and distribution solutions using suppliers, 3rd parties and retained teams.
  • A can-do attitude and be able to start and complete assigned tasks in isolation and or within a team environment.
