About this Role

We are seeking a cybersecurity professional with over 5 years of experience to lead Secure by Design (SbD) initiatives and perform comprehensive security assessments. This role involves advising projects on risk mitigation, ensuring compliance with global security policies, and collaborating across technology and business functions. The individual will act as a trusted advisor, balancing multiple deliverables while fostering innovation and resilience in cybersecurity practices.

What you will do

Deliver timely and effective cybersecurity assessments and consultancy across multiple projects.Conduct control-based security assessments and design reviews for systems, applications, and infrastructure.Ensure compliance with internal security requirements, policies, and regulatory standards.Identify organisational security risks, manage them with stakeholders, and drive closure of risk items.Provide security design input for new products, services, and changes to align with security policy and architecture.Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure collaborative engagement.Document findings, recommendations, and action plans, and prepare accurate reports and presentations.Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen security posture.

Who you are

Minimum 5 years of IT security experience, including security architecture reviews and perimeter security (firewalls, VPN, proxy, network management).Strong understanding of cloud security fundamentals, frameworks, threats, and risk management.Hands-on experience in end-to-end control-based security assessments and architecture reviews.Familiarity with standards/frameworks such as ISO27001, ISO22301, NIST 800-53, OWASP.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills.Ability to analyse data, create reports, and simplify complex problems using innovative approaches.Advantageous: Cybersecurity certifications (CCSP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO27001), knowledge of GDPR, and experience in the telecom industry.
