Role Purpose/Business Unit:

The marketing manager will lead the regional marketing team in developing and executing B2C and B2B marketing plans, campaigns, and initiatives to drive brand and product awareness, customer engagement, market share and revenue growth. The marketing manager will collaborate with the Consumer, Vodacom Business (VB) Fibre (FTTH), Vodacom Financial Service (VFS) and Vodacom Foundation teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies to meet business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with Consumer, VB, FTTH, and VFS Sales teams to seek opportunities to increase revenue and market share in the region.
  • Development of annual integrated marketing plan across Consumer, Vodacom Business, Fixed and Financial Services products and services.
  • Build actionable insights through market research, analysis of performance, customer & behavioural segmentation and competitor analysis across consumer, Vodacom Business (VB), FTTH and Vodacom Financial Services (VFS) addressing regional areas of improvement.
  • Conduct post-campaign and promotion evaluations through ROMI (Return on Marketing Investment) and PIR (Post Implementation Review) and provide management reporting.
  • Manage and report on the regional publicity budget.
  • Build strong, strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute the Regional External Affairs Engagement Plans, incl. Vodacom Foundation: Organisational signature programs as well as Internal marketing programs.
  • Lead, coach and develop key competencies and capabilities across the marketing team to exceed business objectives.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • 3 year Degree or National Diploma in Business Management or Marketing
  • Minimum of 8 year's experience in FMCG Marketing / Consumer Marketing of which 2 should be at Management level
  • Telecommunications industry experience - advantageous
  • Their own reliable vehicle and be willing to use it for business‑related travel (essential).

  • Knowledge of Design Thinking Principles
