About this Role

We are seeking an experienced commercial legal professional to provide expert legal, contractual, product and regulatory support across Vodafone’s Enterprise business. This role is responsible for advising on complex global commercial agreements, negotiating strategic customer contracts, managing contractual risk, supporting product development initiatives, and contributing to regulatory compliance activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling commercial success while protecting the organisation from legal and regulatory risks in a fast-paced international environment.

Who you are

Degree in Law; bar qualification is advantageous.
Deep and demonstrable knowledge of commercial and contract law.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial and contracting law, or 4 years' experience across commercial, contracting and telecommunications law.
Experience supporting commercial business activities within an international environment.
Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record of delivering business-focused legal solutions.
Excellent contract drafting, review and negotiation skills.
Strong risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.
Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Ability to build credibility and collaborate effectively across diverse functions and geographies.
High level of reliability, initiative and accountability.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

What you will do

Contracting


Provide accurate, effective and timely legal advice, analysis and support on commercial and contractual matters relating to Enterprise business activities.
Draft, review and negotiate complex global contracts and legal documentation with multinational customers and strategic accounts.
Identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks in complex multi-country commercial opportunities.
Lead negotiations for high-complexity and bespoke contracts where limited or no standard contractual content exists.
Analyse, interpret and negotiate non-standard contractual terms and conditions.
Drive continuous improvement of contracting processes and act as a subject matter expert across the end-to-end contracting lifecycle.
Develop, maintain and share contractual know-how, precedent materials and best practices.
Support capability development by training colleagues on contracting processes, negotiation approaches and contractual concepts.
Contribute to strategic initiatives within Legal, Contracting, Commercial and Sales functions.
Maintain ownership and governance of team processes, ensuring regular reviews and updates.
Recommend solutions to address customer concerns and mitigate risks associated with complex opportunities.
Identify and propose the most appropriate contracting structures and commercial solutions.
Act as a key escalation point and provide operational support across approvals, allocations and process-related activities when required.
Ensure adherence to contracting policies, standards and governance requirements.
Prepare contract risk assessments and support internal approval processes.
Collaborate with specialist functions including Regulatory, Public Policy, Technology and Tax teams to achieve commercially effective legal outcomes.

Products

Provide legal advice for strategic and development projects.
Lead legal support for product development activities and ensure appropriate legal engagement throughout the product lifecycle.
Maintain Enterprise contracting models for products and solutions.
Support legal aspects of acquisitions, disposals and strategic business initiatives as required.
Create, manage and update customer, carrier and intercompany contract templates and contracting operating models.
Assess the legal impact of legislative changes on products and services.

Regulatory Affairs

Manage regulatory reporting obligations to telecommunications authorities in licensed countries in cooperation with local advisers.
Own and maintain SWIFT reporting activities for the Regulatory Affairs function.
Support regulatory projects and work closely with regulatory leads.
Coordinate and project manage regulatory initiatives, including licence-related activities.
Contribute to the enhancement of regulatory compliance processes and governance frameworks.
