What you’ll do

As part of the European Vodafone Network Operation (VNO) Organization and included into Cloud & OSS department, Infrastructure & OS team is responsible for the maintenance of Infrastructure, Operating System, Proxy and Backup in Network Operations environment for Albania.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute changes, providing assistance in new projects during all stages, including design, planning, delivery, assessment, operation and maintenance
  • Performing troubleshooting and error handling until issue definitive resolution within the agreed SLA. The aim is to minimize the service outages due to any reason, with the highest quality in the incident resolution
  • Avoid repetitive incidents, identify and solve the root causes. If needed, engage external stakeholders and lead the final implementation of the solution to the problem
  • Guarantee the required security obligations across the entire perimeter of the platforms under its responsibility (Security activities patching, vulnerability, hardening) according to the best practices and company procedures
  • Periodic monitoring of platforms, performance tuning, capacity planning and trend analysis

Who you are

  • Managing and supporting a mixed environment of Windows, RedHat, HP-UX, Solaris, Linux, Oracle and the other Operating Systems most used.
  • Knowledge of Proxy Operation and Maintenance.
  • Problem solving skills and attitude to manage emergency situations to deliver results and improve performance in projects with high complexity.
  • Good knowledge of the main monitoring systems and ability to automate repetitive tasks using appropriate languages ​​and tools.
  • Knowledge for Backup Platforms and processes.

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • University degree: faculty of Computers, or Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology
  • Experience in Telecommunication or similar position
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
