Role Purpose

The industry advisory role aims to deliver value across various business functions, including stimulating demand, creating and accelerating opportunities, and participating in account planning, strategic business roadmaps, and stakeholder engagement.

This role focuses on pinpointing customer needs and industry-specific opportunities, offering tailored guidance and recommendations to align with those requirements. It fosters collaboration with internal teams to discover, develop, and support new business prospects. By drawing on industry expertise, the advisor influences key decision makers, clearly communicates Vodafone’s value proposition, and supports digital transformation discussions.

The advisor drives impactful change by guiding customers through successful digital transformation, working with partners to strategize, implement opportunities, expand business outcomes, and develop industry solution opportunities.

Job Profile

  • Define industry value propositions (e.g., “agile & sustainable supply chains” , “Smart Building Automation” , “ Citizen Services platform” , etc..) and work with account teams to bring that into customer conversations.
  • Drive industry discussions with key customers and stakeholders leading with use cases, scenarios that are relevant to the target audience, and address national agendas, pain areas, or aspirations.
  • Work with internal teams to define the right engagement strategy with different stakeholders using the industry narrative, leading to a long-term account plan with defined dialogues for different customer stakeholders.
  • Engage with senior business decision-makers (CxOs) to co-create end-to-end, multi-year industry roadmaps, grounded in a deep assessment of the customer’s current landscape and future ambitions, to identify and unlock strategic growth and transformation opportunities
  • Lead Design Thinking and ideation workshops with customers to cultivate innovation, uncover new opportunities, and translate collaborative problem-solving into actionable use cases and scenarios that underpin transformational digital initiatives.
  • Leverage partners (GSIs, ISVs) to develop industry-specialised solutions partnering with different internal teams such as solution architects, partner and alliance managers.
  • Remain updated with industry trends, industry solutions landscape, regulatory / policy implications, and share these internally and externally to help shape strategy.
  • Leverage the industry knowledge to produce whitepapers, point of view decks, and material that is used in customer discussions, and solutions positioning.
  • Researching industry best practices from global references and domains and share across communities, customers, and internal teams to position as subject matter experts.

Competencies & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of customer-facing experience in the target industry (or consulting/integrator experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering/IT or related field; preferable a master’s degree holder.
  • Deep domain expertise in the industry (e.g. manufacturing value chain, mining operations, consumer goods supply chain) and good understanding of how digital technologies transforms that industry.
  • Broad experience and knowledge in different ICT Domains.
  • Experienced with Solutions Architecture.
