About This Role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer & Anti‑Bribery Lead to play a critical role in delivering VOIS India’s safe, secure and compliant agenda. This India‑based role (Pune or Bangalore) is responsible for implementing and operating an effective Compliance Management System aligned to Vodafone Group policy and control frameworks, with particular ownership of the Anti‑Bribery & Corruption (ABC) policy, standards and controls. Working in a hybrid model, the individual will partner closely with local and global stakeholders, advise with confidence at multiple organisational levels, and act as a trusted champion for compliance and business integrity across VOIS India.

What you’ll do

Compliance & Business Integrity Officer

  • Support the Head of Compliance & Business Integrity in rolling out and operating the Group and VOIS policy compliance framework.
  • Act as the local policy governance gatekeeper, ensuring effective implementation, maintenance and communication of global and local policies.
  • Manage the local policy portal and coordinate compliance officers as required.
  • Facilitate compliance assurance reviews and assess control effectiveness with control owners.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance compliance monitoring and assurance activities.
  • Prepare and present compliance, risk and assurance updates to leadership forums, including the India RCC.
  • Partner with Group Compliance and Risk Assurance to maintain a holistic control environment.
  • Drive policy awareness, track mandatory training completion and escalate non‑compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to a strong compliance and policy community in VOIS India.

Anti‑Bribery & Corruption (ABC) Expert

  • Lead implementation, monitoring and ongoing operation of the Anti‑Bribery & Corruption policy across VOIS India.
  • Act as the day‑to‑day ABC subject matter expert and control operator.
  • Maintain the Gifts & Hospitality register and conduct bribery and corruption risk assessments.
  • Provide guidance on gifts, hospitality, sponsorships and high‑risk transactions, including public official engagements.
  • Coordinate with Group Compliance and Legal teams for required approvals.
  • Deliver ABC risk assessments, targeted training, communications and awareness campaigns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Group Compliance.
  • Investigate, escalate and support audits or reviews related to ABC and competition law controls.

Who you are

  • An experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of policy governance frameworks and compliance assurance methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable in anti‑bribery legislation such as the UK Bribery Act and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and familiar with corporate compliance frameworks.
  • Comfortable working with risk management principles, internal control systems and assurance activities.
  • Analytical and detail‑oriented, with the ability to assess risks and recommend pragmatic mitigation strategies.
  • Confident in interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical, actionable controls.
  • Trusted to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound ethical judgement.
  • An effective communicator who can engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Educated to degree level in Law, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related field, with over 10 years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in compliance, legal, risk management or assurance roles within a multinational context.
  • Professionally qualified or working towards certifications such as CCEP, with proficiency in compliance tools, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with AI solutions.
