About this Role

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to join our Technology team in Pune, India. This role involves designing and implementing data processing systems on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring high-quality, defect-free development and adherence to organisational standards. The individual will act as a subject matter expert, guiding junior team members and contributing to process improvements and technical guilds.

What you’ll do

• Prepare Low-Level Design (LLD) based on High-Level Design (HLD) provided by the project architect.
• Build and operationalise data processing systems in line with LLD specifications.
• Apply expertise in GCP Data Fusion, BigQuery, and Airflow for optimised development.
• Design and implement data pipeline patterns, addressing product limitations with innovative solutions.
• Act as SME for GCP Data Engineering, mentoring junior resources and enabling collaborative delivery.
• Lead small teams or projects from build to closure when required.
• Drive process adoption, resource optimisation, and tool utilisation to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Contribute technical expertise to organisational guilds.

Who you are

• Experienced in GCP suite of products such as BigQuery and Data Fusion.
• Proficient in programming languages like Python or Java.
• Knowledgeable in Apache Airflow, GCP Data Proc clusters, and Data Flow.
• Holds 2–4 years of overall experience, with at least 1–2 years in cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Preferably Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer.
• Educational qualifications: B.E./B.Tech, BCA/MCA, or BSc/MSc in Computer Science.
