What you’ll do

Role purpose:
As the Release Train Engineer you will manage the delivery of an Agile Release Train cooperating with senior level managers (Product management and Technology). The RTE drives flow, transparency, and continuous improvement across multiple squads and value streams, while acting as a key integrator between Product, Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, and Operations. To act as an agile evangelist in the organisation and coach the colleagues in key roles working in the agile organization. You will be responsible for guiding the teams and delivering value to the products by facilitating ART practices and procedures. You will communicate with the stakeholders, manage the risks, and assist in the management and ensure continuous improvement and development.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist the product managers in getting ready for PI. Help teams with feature estimation and the aggregation of estimates for larger pieces of work like capabilities and epics by planning and ensuring the vision, roadmap, and program backlogs are ready.
• Assist in the management of risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
• Assist continuous improvement, collect program flow measurements and other important metrics.
• Encourage teamwork as well as System and Solution collaboration.
• Coordinate, assist, and mentor teams according to Lean/Agile concepts.
• Set and manage the measurement of performance of the teams working on the Agile Release Train .
• Ensure that the governance arrangements are robust and that reporting lines and communication links are sound. Accountable for developing and maintaining relationships with the key stakeholders, third parties and other external bodies to ensure a positive outcome and be overall responsible for the performance of the program team.


What we are looking in you:
• 4+ years of professional experience in relevant job positions (project management, program manager, agile coach, senior scrum master, delivery manager, or equivalent positions).
• Experience managing agile teams.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and system integration.
• Degree in IT or related field (essential).
• Release Train Engineer Certification (desirable).
• Experience of operating in a Scaled Agile environment (desirable)
• In-depth knowledge of agile framework such as scrum and understanding of agile tools eg. Jira & Confluence.
• Systems thinking and end-to-end value stream optimization.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Creative thinker with a vision.
• Exceptional soft skills to navigate high-pressure situations, negotiate priorities, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Eager to make a difference and a proven willingness for continuous learning.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• English language is a must.
