Experienced Tax Accountant

(Maternity cover)

Your role in a nutshell:

The main responsibilities of the Experienced Tax Accountant are to extract and analyze accounting data for tax purposes, to prepare tax calculations and returns, check tax adjustments, payments and returns and last, but not least to prepare tax reports for local lax teams based around the world.

What you'll do:

  • Preparation of VAT returns and other VAT compliance related reports, e.g. Intrastat and EC Sales Lists within EMEA.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and take action concerning open items on the accounts.
  • Prepare manual tax adjustments in relation to data which have not been recorded in the ERP systems.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries from various areas of the business in relation to tax coding in SAP.
  • Take a leading role and provide support during external or internal audits within the wider organization.
  • Monitor tax rates and the related tax settings in ERP system.
  • Maintain master data: tax classification, VAT numbers, commodity codes, etc.
  • Support other team members.

What you'll bring to our team:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of Tax
  • Exposure to the accounting environment
  • Fluent English language knowledge, Spanish is an advantage
  • Hyperion knowledge (desired)
