We work with customers across 28 countries from 10 VOIS locations: Albania, Egypt, Hungary, India, Romania, Spain, Turkey, UK, Germany, Ireland, and with a network of teams in Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.
About this Role
We are seeking a Telecom Systems Support Engineer to provide first-line technical services for live information systems used by telecommunications operators. This role involves developing, implementing, testing, and correcting software and hardware solutions for telecom applications, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with quality standards. You will troubleshoot network issues, implement new functionalities, and escalate complex problems to higher technical levels when necessary.
What you’ll do
- Develop, test, and modify computer systems containing mobile and fixed telecom applications.
- Design and update customised software solutions for telecom operators.
- Implement new software functionalities and optimise system performance.
- Identify and resolve software and hardware deficiencies in GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G networks.Configure, integrate, and optimise network software parameters according to defined quality criteria.
- Test applications in controlled environments before production deployment.
- Perform emergency remediation through software or hardware reconfiguration using telecom programming methods.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues from Customer Operations or Service Desk, escalating when necessary.
- Conduct preventive checks using specialised software to identify and resolve latent deficiencies.
Who you are
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- Strong understanding of operating systems, database systems, and telecom-specific applications.
- Basic technical knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and networking principles.
- University degree in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology).
