E2E Senior Solution Architect (VOIS)

Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Solution owner will bring the skillset to bear on our operational and management analytics and our machine learning platforms. Will own end-to-end data integration across both on premise platforms such as Splunk, Cribl, Nifi and cloud-based platforms such as GCP and AWS.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Contribute significantly to Analytics and autonomics future reference architecture.
• Facilitate, with input from key E&T stakeholders , an end-to-end strategic architect blueprint, which will capture the complete set of platform capabilities specially in the data integration and architecture building blocks across all our E&T domains.
• Responsible for delivering the High Level Designs for ARIX 3 Solutions.
• Contributing with solutions architects to create an architecture implementation plan that aligns with the domain roadmap and developing a risk assessment on related solutions.
• Seeking growth areas, analysing current platform gaps and recommending solutions/mitigations.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Must have:
• Real hands-on experience in designing, developing different analytics and machine learning solutions, business processes and capable of taking responsibility for the assurance of end-to-end architecture.
• Familiar with compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
• Solid knowledge in data integration design patterns.
• Solid understanding of different Cloud providers services like GCP and AWS.
• Background knowledge in IT infrastructure, networking and automations.

Good to have:
• Understands the concepts and principles of data modelling and data governance.
• Experience with designing end-to-end Data Pipelines.
• Experience with data governance.
• Experience in data streaming, batching and event driven mechanisms.
• Familiar with log analytics tool stack.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Must have:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role working with large-scale platforms.
• Working in international, distributed teams.
• Experience of working on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.

Good to have:
• Confident and able to liaise and influence at all levels within Vodafone and/or relevant customer organizations.
• Able to communicate effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context.
• 3+ years’ experience in Data Integration technology such as Nifi, Kafka and Cribl.
