About this Role

We are seeking an accomplished accounting professional to provide functional leadership within the global Accounting Centre of Excellence. This role oversees IFRS16 governance, guides high-impact transformation initiatives, and ensures consistent, compliant accounting treatment across Vodafone Group markets. Operating within a complex and dynamic environment, the individual will influence strategic decision-making, collaborate across functions, and drive continuous improvements in global Record to Report processes.

What you will do

Lead functional responsibilities within the Accounting Centre of Excellence to ensure adherence to IFRS16 and related accounting governance processes. Oversee end-to-end activities that enhance data quality, reporting integrity, and compliance across Vodafone markets.Steer accounting treatment for transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with IFRS, Group policies, and local GAAP.Partner with global teams to prioritise and implement key accounting initiatives, supporting business-critical projects such as Device Lifecycle Management, AI-driven solutions, and M&A activities.Provide expert advice to Chief Accountants and local markets to support accurate financial statements, disclosures, and balance sheet reviews.Identify process improvement opportunities, analyse IFRS16 performance insights, and support global compliance frameworks.

Who you are

A Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with strong technical expertise in IFRS16 and financial accounting.An individual with proven experience delivering large-scale finance transformation projects and supporting cross-functional initiatives.Effective communicator with excellent partnering skills and the ability to provide clear, transparent accounting guidance.Analytical, innovative, adaptable, and confident navigating change in a global operating landscape.Skilled in IT and data analytics, with strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
