Job Summary
The demand planning senior specialist will be responsible for analyzing and forecasting devices trends and performance to support effective demand planning, inventory health management and decision-making. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop, Implement, and maintain robust demand planning processes to accurately forecast device sales and adjust inventory levels, minimizing overstocking and stockouts using historical sales data, market trends, promotional plans, and business intelligence
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to develop accurate and actionable merchandise plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, set inventory levels, and develop assortment plans that align with sales targets and company strategies.
- Conduct regular analysis of product performance, including sales, sell-through, and profitability, to identify opportunities and risks.
- Monitor inventory levels and propose merchandise replenishment strategies to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Collaborate with vendor management team to ensure timely delivery of merchandise and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Provide regular visibility to key stakeholders on any risks in product availability or opportunities of growth with cross-functional teams.
- Provide insights and recommendations on pricing strategies, promotional activities, and markdown optimization to maximize sales and profitability.
- Assist in the development and execution of merchandise financial plans, including sales, margin, and inventory targets.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Support devices team in ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or analytics, preferably in the telecommunications or consumer electronics industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Engineering, business administration or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus..
- Proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and data analysis.
- Experience with new product launches and managing demand for high-tech devices is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about devices and technology
- Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and device lifecycle management is a plus.
