About this Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Mid-level Software Engineer with a passion for modern development technologies and practices. This role is pivotal in building secure, reliable, and scalable applications using AWS cloud-based micro-services architecture. You will work on digital channels used by millions of customers, contributing to high-quality products that transform customer engagement and drive innovation across Vodafone.
What you will do
Develop micro-services as part of a Scrum/Kanban development squad.Drive quality and performance of owned micro-services through standards and best practices.Establish a culture of continuous improvement through learning, training, and coaching.Ensure quality is embedded in all deliverables.
Who you are
Experienced in designing and developing RESTful APIs within a micro-services architecture.Extensive commercial experience with Java (v17 or higher) and Spring/Spring Boot.Strong understanding of design patterns and clean coding principles.Skilled in TDD/BDD and associated testing tools, including unit, integration, E2E, and performance tests.Practical knowledge of Scrum or other agile methodologies.Ability to mentor and support junior developers.Passionate about solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions.Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
