About this Role

We are seeking an experienced IP Core Network Specialist to ensure uninterrupted operations of our IP/MPLS backbone, Internet networks, and critical enterprise services. This role involves minimising business impacts during outages, driving operational automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver network transformation initiatives. The position demands agility, technical expertise, and proactive problem-solving to maintain service continuity and optimise network performance.

What you will do

  • Operate and maintain IP network devices and connectivity across local markets, including Cisco 9k/12k/ASR routers, Juniper MX960, and Alcatel 7750.
  • Provide 24/7 support for IP Core Network operations.
  • Manage network incidents, perform hardware/software fault analysis, and ensure disaster recovery and service continuity.
  • Support NNI build/migration, software and hardware upgrades, and activation for peering/backbone networks.
  • Assist in Vodafone Group service activations and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot and configure MPLS, routing protocols (ISIS, BGP), and IPSec VPN technologies.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IP network technologies, including ISIS, BGP, and MPLS.
  • Strong understanding of IP networks, protocols, and core network architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Alcatel 7750, Cisco 9k/12k, and Juniper MX960 routers.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA or JNCIA.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written) and highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
