About this Role
We are seeking a Roaming Operations Support Engineer to ensure high availability and optimal performance of platforms managing international roaming services. This includes Tekelec DRA/DSR, Oracle Eagle STP, and TOMIA Value Added Services (SOR, VHE, WSMS, OTA). The role involves operational excellence, troubleshooting, and supporting new technologies within a dynamic telecom environment.
What you will do
- Manage hardware and software/application processes, configurations, system logs, and call flows.
- Investigate and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
- Perform testing, migration, upgrades, and configuration on Diameter/SS7/VAS products and interfaces.
- Prepare and execute MOPs for activities such as hardware/software upgrades and disk replacements.
- Notify and update stakeholders on ongoing incidents and follow up with vendors on complex technical issues.
- Support new projects, participate in workshops and training, and contribute to automation initiatives.
Who you are
- Experienced in telecom operations with 2–3 years in an operations environment, preferably in roaming.
- Skilled in network operations tools, processes, and practices with strong collaboration and communication abilities.
- Organised, result-oriented, and committed to quality and high performance.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Technical expertise in DRA, STP, and roaming services, with knowledge of SS7 SIGTRAN, Diameter S6, MAP protocol, and O&M configuration activities.
- Familiarity with Tekelec/Oracle DSR/Eagle STP/TOMIA VAS products and Linux/Unix administration.
