About this Role

We are seeking a skilled and analytical BI Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team in India. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of the Business Intelligence (BI) Application Layer, acting as the key interface between data systems and BI customers. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data structures, data marts, and ensure seamless data flow into regular service operations. The role also involves supporting business-critical processes, resolving technical issues, and contributing to system optimisation and process improvements.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain SQL/BTEQ scripts to support the BI Application Layer.
  • Design and implement data models and relational staging areas for BI applications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Support business users in system handling and performance optimisation.
  • Participate in demand fulfilment, service operation, and support processes, including critical issue resolution and problem analysis.
  • Contribute to system optimisation, simplification, and preventative maintenance.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.

Who you are

  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, BTEQ, and database technologies such as Teradata, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experienced in Unix/Linux environments with a basic understanding of shell scripting.
  • Familiar with tools such as Python, GCP, ODI, Git, Control-M, and Airflow.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver under pressure.
  • Background in telecommunications is desirable.
  • Experience in data preparation, data mart development, and BI application support.
