About this Role

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to play a pivotal role in embedding data governance practices across Vodafone Markets and Group Functions. This position sits within the Data Governance and Vodafone Business Transformation team (D&A CoE) and focuses on implementing data cataloguing and lineage solutions, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and driving adoption of Collibra as the enterprise metadata repository. The role involves close collaboration with Group D&A, local governance teams, and technology partners to deliver scalable, automated, and auditable solutions that unlock value from trusted data.

What you will do

  • Support the operationalisation of Vodafone’s Data Governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of Collibra as the central metadata repository across Vodafone Markets and Group Functions.
  • Drive technical integrations between Collibra and key platforms to automate metadata ingestion and improve efficiency.
  • Define and maintain the roadmap for Collibra developments, ensuring timely upgrades and feature adoption across OpCos.
  • Promote data literacy and cultural change by engaging stakeholders and supporting governance maturity initiatives.

Who you are

  • Experienced in data governance frameworks and metadata standards, with strong knowledge of Collibra implementation and optimisation.
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional programmes and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Adept at embedding governance processes using automation and AI-driven tools.
  • Strong communicator with proficiency in Microsoft tools and a collaborative mindset.
  • Commercially aware, understanding how governance drives business value.
