About this Role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Assurance Specialist to lead control testing and assurance activities across Vodafone’s IT, Mobile and Fixed Telecommunications environments. This role is pivotal in identifying vulnerabilities, driving remediation, and enhancing Vodafone’s cyber risk posture. The individual will collaborate with global security teams, apply technical expertise in control testing, and contribute to the evolution of automated assurance methodologies. Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting capabilities are essential.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and execute deep-dive control testing across diverse technology environments.
  • Maintain a current view of control effectiveness and compliance with security policies.
  • Apply situational awareness to prioritise assurance activities based on risk.
  • Document findings, recommend improvements, and track remediation efforts.
  • Prepare and present metrics and KPIs to governance bodies.
  • Guide other security professionals on assurance techniques and best practices.
  • Drive automation in control testing and contribute to programme maturity.

Who you are

  • 8+ years of technical experience in cyber assurance within complex IT or telecom environments.
  • Proficient in control testing, vulnerability assessment, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of security risks, technologies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in global, multicultural settings.
  • Solid technical knowledge across web applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and cloud.
  • Preferred certifications: CISA, CISSP, SSCP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Auditor.
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 and NIST frameworks.
