Job Description

About the role

As a Digital Designer in this team, you will play a crucial role in creating the digital experiences that will drive our future growth. You will collaborate with top-tier creatives and specialists, crafting best-in-class digital-first assets. Your designs will aim to inform, engage, and encourage our customers to interact and transact with us.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve:

  • Creating regular assets for Programme initiatives
  • Designing front-end mock-ups and wireframes, including front-end copywriting
  • Contributing to the definition of requirements and iteration on design solutions

An appetite and passion for beautifully crafted and functional design, underpinned by a desire to understand data and user-centric design, is highly desirable. If you have a passion for innovative digital design and a drive to create exceptional customer experiences, we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidate must evidence experience of operating at pace, with ambiguity and be comfortable dealing with fast-moving, rapidly changing priorities as part of high-performing team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a team of forward-thinking innovators who are determined to reshape the way our company serves its customers. We're not just rethinking products and services—we're challenging legacy ways of working and driving a culture of "get stuff done." Our mission is to develop new offerings to the evolving needs of our customers.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love breaking barriers, and are ready to think outside the box, this is the role where you'll learn and grow like never before.

Together, we are Virgin Media O2, and we can't wait to see what you can do.

Accessible, inclusive and equitable for all

Virgin Media O2 is an equal opportunities employer and we're working hard to remove bias and barriers for our people and candidates. So, we build equity and inclusion into everything we do, from the policies we craft to the relationships we shape. We support and encourage you to be your authentic self throughout your application journey with us.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Proven experience in a transformational digital environment and Degree or equivalent experience in a design-related subject area
  • Experience with basic prototyping and storytelling through lifecycle state illustrations
  • Understanding and experience of agile methodologies and knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques
  • Personable with clear communication and strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma and Adobe CC and experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

  • Multi-disciplined designer with passionate attention to detail
  • Telco experience is a bonus but not essential.
  • Experience with data tools like Adobe Analytics/UserZoom/Content Square.
  • Experience conducting user testing (remote and face-to-face).

What's in it for you As you're already a valued member of the Virgin Media O2 crew, you'll know lots about the amazing stuff we do to take care of our people. If you need a reminder, head on over to the benefits portal via the main intranet site.
