Job Description

Beckenham Vets for Pets are seeking an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team.

The brand-new surgery is situated inside one of our new concept stores and has been designed to deliver not only the highest clinical standards, but also a pleasant working environment for the whole team. The practice is situated in one of our new look Pets at Home stores, in the heart of Beckenham, with excellent national and international transport links, just half an hour from central London. Beckenham doesn't really feel like part of London, with its leafy suburban streets and village atmosphere.

Our new practice can offer you the environment, caseload and equipment needed to utilise the skills you’ve gained to date whilst also giving you plenty of opportunity to develop further. We are proactive to continually support postgraduate qualifications and CPD for training in your areas of interest.

We are a team of passionate and ambitious practitioners with a high standard for patient care and customer service. We aim to maintain a blame free, open feedback, collaborative culture. You’ll be supported by 3 RVNs, 4 VCAs and 1 practice administrator.

We are looking for a well-rounded vet with 3 years plus experience and confident with consultations (our consults are 20 minutes) and proficient in surgery such as spays and castrations. Also proficient in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery such as exlap, cystotomies, pyo and c-section.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and enthusiastic team player with excellent time management and client communication skills, who is keen to practice stress-free, fear-free techniques and provide the highest standard of patient care.

We can consider full or part-time hours for the role, 4 day week (8:45am – 7pm weekday) and the weekend rota is 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:45am – 5:00pm) with the aim to transition to 1 in 4 Saturdays. No OOH required.

This is a truly exciting opportunity to be part of something special and comes with a competitive salary of £50,000 DOE / FTE. Plus, the generous benefits package you would expect from a major employer in our sector, but with a few added extras!

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, great customer service and would like to join our team we would love to hear from you.

For more information and a confidential, no strings attached conversation- please contact Lizzie on Southvets@vets4pets.com or click the apply button to submit an application.
