Registered Veterinary Nurse - Recently Qualified or Experienced
Job Description
If you are a confident, compassionate Veterinary Nurse looking for a practice where your ideas matter, your skills are valued, and your day-to-day work actually feels rewarding, we have the role for you here at Reading Vets for Pets.
We can offer you:
- A supportive, close knit team who enjoy working together
- A balanced rota with 1 in 6 weekends
- Nurse led clinics where your expertise shines
- Modern equipment and a well organised clinical environment
- CPD funded and encouraged, including certificates
- Competitive salary starting from £30,000 based on experience
- A culture that values your voice, your ideas, and your development
- Exclusive company and high street discounts and rewards
- Contributory pension scheme
As part of our friendly first opinion team, you’ll enjoy a varied mix of nursing duties; from anaesthesia and inpatient care to nurse consults and client education. We actively encourage nurses to use their full skill set, and we welcome those with a strong clinical background, whether gained during training or in practice.
Our practice is ideally based on the Brunel Retail Park giving great access for our clients and colleagues with easy transport links and free parking. We see a varied caseload including basic exotic cases and give all our Nurses equal opportunities to be involved in all areas, so your days are never quite the same.
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients too, and have a new ultrasound machine, wireless digital x-ray, up to date lab equipment including urine and cytology, and new dental xray on the way!
You’ll be working alongside a close and supportive team of 2 RVNs, 3 SVNs, a VCA, 3 Vets and a brilliant team of 4 CCAs who support the client journey, freeing our nurses up to carry out their role effectively. You can find out more about us and what we offer here.
We are looking for an RVN with good general nursing experience, great customer service skills, and a genuine interest in animal welfare. You should be cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic, with a passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and excellent client service.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week with 1 in 6 weekends. Our rota is designed to protect your wellbeing though, so if part-time hours are more suited to your lifestyle, we are open to discussing this as well.
Whether you’re a newly qualified RVN or an experienced Nurse ready for a fresh start, this is a role where your clinical skills are valued and your growth is supported.
