Job Description

At Apsley Vets for Pets, we’re proud to offer both part-time and full-time opportunities, with the flexibility to shape the role around you. Whether you’re looking for set days, fixed shifts, or value having weekends free to support your work–life balance, we’re open to accommodating most requests. We’d love to have a conversation about what works best for you.

Conveniently located with ample on-site parking, our practice is home to a friendly and supportive team of three vets, two RVNs, one SVN, two VCAs, a practice manager, and three receptionists. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and collaborative environment.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to utilise your nursing skills to their full potential. Responsibilities include patient admissions, anaesthetic monitoring, supporting recovery, and carrying out discharges. You’ll be well supported by our VCAs and Student Veterinary Nurse, particularly with theatre turnaround and patient preparation, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent clinical care.

To be considered, you’ll have solid general nursing experience, strong client care skills, and a positive, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic approach. Above all, you’ll bring a genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to high standards of patient care.

In return, we offer an excellent remuneration package, including:

  • Salary of up to £36,000 DOE
  • No OOH or overnight inpatient checks
  • Generous CPD allowance, including funded certificates
  • A strong emphasis on wellbeing
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVNA, VDS)
  • Exclusive company and high street discounts and rewards, including 20% off Pets at Home

If you share our passion for delivering exceptional pet healthcare and outstanding customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

Location: HP3 9AA

We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People. Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
