Registered Veterinary Nurse
Job Description
Registered Veterinary Nurse
If you are an experienced RVN looking for a team that will support you, encourage you and have fun with, Filton Vets for Pets could be the right practice for you.
The Practice:
Filton Vets for Pets has been locally owned by Michael Parry since 2003. To the benefit of our team and patients alike, the practice underwent a makeover and expansion in recent years, enhancing our wonderful working environment and now offering an excellent workspace and facilities including a lovely colleague room and separate offices, purpose built operating theatres and dental theatre, additional prep rooms and wards. The practice is also fitted with the excellent level of equipment you’d expect from a thriving GP practice, ensuring you have everything you need to provide the best standards of care to our patients.
Our team:
For a small animal practice, you’ll be joining a big team! As well as Michael, you’ll be working alongside a team of 7 other vets and supported by a welcoming team of 25 in total, including our Head Nurse and nurse team, students, care assistants and non-clinical colleagues including our practice manager Karen who is also a trained Mental Health First Aider.
About you:
You’ll be skilled in all aspects of veterinary nursing, with a passion for delivering excellent patient and client care. We are committed to helping you utilise your professional skills and pursue further qualifications that benefit both you and the practice. Personal progression is important to us and so we try to ensure our colleagues get to spend more time in the areas that interest them wherever possible. CPD is actively encouraged, with certificates and further education supported, encouraged and funded.
We have 2 exciting opportunities available working either part time of full time, including weekends.
Our offer:
- A competitive salary up to £35,000 DOE (pro rata).
- Contributory pension scheme
- Paid holiday of 28 days, rising to 33 days after 2 years of service
- Generous CPD allowance
- Support for certificates such as time to study, or designate cases of interest/relevance to certificate
- Paid Professional memberships
- Life assurance 4 x annual salary
- No OOH
- Cycle to work scheme
- Colleague reward hub – exclusive offers and discounts online and on the high street, including 20% off at Pets at Home, Vets4Pets and the Groom Room
If that’s not enough, Filton Vets for Pets is based in an ideal location on the outskirts of Bristol yet is central for great transport links, a short walk from the local train station and with easy access to major roads including the M32, M4 and M5.
Location: BS34 7BQ
We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People. Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
