Pharmacy Assistant & Client Care Advisor

Altrincham | 40 hours per week | £13.00 per hour

A varied support role within a busy veterinary practice

We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant & Client Care Advisor to join our team in a varied operational role supporting the day-to-day running of the practice.

This role combines pharmacy support, stock organisation, reception duties, and general practice support within a busy first opinion veterinary practice.

We are looking for someone organised, reliable, and confident communicating with clients, who enjoys helping a team run efficiently.

The role

Approximately 20 hours per week will focus on pharmacy and stock responsibilities, typically split across morning and afternoon pharmacy sessions.

This will include:

• Labelling and preparing medication accurately
• Ordering and putting away stock
• Checking deliveries and monitoring stock levels
• Managing expiry dates and maintaining organisation within the pharmacy area
• Supporting prescription preparation and pharmacy workflows

The remaining hours will support the Client Care Advisor and wider practice team and may include:

• Reception and front desk support
• Answering phones and managing appointments
• Administrative tasks
• Supporting clients within the practice
• General practice organisation and cleaning tasks
• Supporting the team during busy periods

This is an important support role that helps the practice run smoothly day to day.

• Strong focus on teamwork, organisation, and client care

Hours and rota

• 40 hours per week
• Includes Saturday Client Care Advisor shifts on the rota
• Additional hours available covering holidays and team absence
• No out of hours

Who this role suits

• Someone highly organised and reliable
• Comfortable working accurately and following processes
• Confident speaking with clients face to face and on the phone
• Able to manage repetitive tasks consistently and efficiently
• A team player willing to support different areas of the practice

Previous experience in reception, retail, administration, pharmacy, or stock management would be helpful but is not essential.
