Our current Head Nurse, who has been with us for 9 years has recently moved out of the area, so we are very sad to see her go, she will be greatly missed. Due to this, the opportunity for a Head Veterinary Nurse has arisen for someone who is forward thinking, organised, and will help us continue to grow the practice, support our team and practice owner. If you are looking to build on your clinical skills, bring the practice new ideas this may be the role for you.
This would also suit somebody who would like to explore the option of being a Practice Owner.

Our Practice
Our purpose-built, modern practice is conveniently located close to Epsom town centre, just a 7-minute walk from Epsom train station, with plenty of on-site parking. We’re fully equipped with:
- Digital X-ray, and shortly will be adding a dental x-ray
- Ultrasound with Doppler, alongside virtual specialists to guide our vets for abdo and cardiac Ultrasounds.
- A growing orthopaedic kit
- Separate dog and cat wards to reduce patient stress
- Nurse training practice
Our Team
You’ll be joining a dedicated, fun, and hardworking team of:
- 3 Vets
- 3 RVNs
- 2 Student Veterinary Nurses
- 2 VCAs
- 2 Receptionists
- A Practice Manager
All led by Lenesa Govender, our Lead Vet and Practice Owner, who opened the practice in 2016 and brings 20+ years of veterinary experience, much of it in senior roles.
Lenesa is passionate about continuous learning, professional growth, and building meaningful relationships with clients. Our ethos is simple: we treat every pet as if they were our own.
About You
We’re looking for an HVN who is organised and experienced with stock control, rota management, managing and leading a team of nurses, and has outstanding customer service skills or a clear understanding of outstanding customer service.
- Is passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care
- Has strong communication and organisational skills
- Takes pride in working to high clinical standards
- Enjoys being an active part of a team
- Is interested in personal development and understanding how a practice operates
Nurses are the heart of our practice. You’ll play an integral clinical role in patient care while helping support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
The Role
- Full-time (36-40 hours per week)
- 1 in 4 Saturdays
- No out-of-hours
- Flexible shift discussions available
