What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Director - HR Business Partner will shape and drive the HR Strategy and partner with Verizon Global Services technology organizations on strategic priorities including talent management, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness and change management. The high performing, strategic HR partner will advise and coach business leaders (4 SVPs/10 VPs) on driving the organizational values and culture. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Understand and apply talent trends and perspectives combined with business acumen and objective to shape talent strategy and priorities for the BU. Advise and pull through talent solutions to achieve the strategic goals.

  • Analyze org effectiveness using data, interviews, and other 'sensing' channels to assess people and organizational capability and provide guidance for transformational changes or support business transformations.

  • Identify business insights and diagnose possible challenges and solutions.

  • Provide consultation on how the organizational design / structure aligns to enable strategy and objective. Facilitate org design and restructure.

  • Partner with CoE to shape the talent plan for the BU and architect fit-for-purpose talent solutions (including TA, TR, L&D) to achieve the goals. Partner with finance and business leaders on strategic workforce planning

  • Work with CoE and the business to pull through DEI programs and initiatives in the BU.

  • Partner with CoE through the succession management process and monitor the fulfillment of the succession planning. Deliver critical programs and processes such as performance reviews and talent reviews.

  • Advise on compensation recommendations and decisions.

  • Lead and develop HRBP team and capability within HRBP organization, educate CoE partners on business context, share best practices across BUs.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in HR or a related field

  • Leadership counseling and coaching skills

  • Experience leading talent management and development initiatives including strategic workforce planning with senior leaders.

  • Experience leading large scale, complex and strategic business transformations

  • Proven expertise influencing key stakeholders and senior leaders through relationships, expertise and data

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead in a highly matrixed environment

  • Executive presence and proven ability to establish and maintain rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels

  • Strong business acumen with broad understanding of business operations

  • Insightful, forward thinker; change agent

  • Strong project management and change management skills

  • Proven oral, presentation and written communication skills; including storytelling

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree

  • Experience with technical job functions

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
