What you'll be doing…

We are seeking a strategic and innovative leader to drive the digitization strategy for HR. This role will involve aligning business and functional processes and capabilities roadmap with modern technology solutions, creating a strategic roadmap for all HR departments. The role will work closely with Verizon’s technology organization to bridge the current state with the art of the possible. The ideal candidate should be passionate about continuously serving our employees and businesses, offering omnichannel, digitally savvy services through a well-defined roadmap. The successful implementation of this strategy will have a direct impact on Verizon's reputation as the best place to work and internal employee satisfaction scores.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR technology roadmap aligned with the organization’s strategic HR and business objectives.

    • Stay abreast of emerging HR technology trends and identify opportunities to leverage innovative solutions.

    • Partner with Verizon’s Technology team and other stakeholders to create a North Star Architecture transforming processes enabled by industry-leading technologies such as Workday, Service Now, and AI capabilities.

  • System Implementation and Management:

    • Oversee and measure the performance of current technology landscapes partnering with the Technology organization:

      • Reliability issues and business impacts.

      • Prioritization of enhancements or fixes.

      • Maintenance of data requirements due to legal, compliance, risk or management decisions.

    • Manage relationships with HR technology vendors, capitalizing on core platform innovations while influencing partner roadmaps to meet Verizon’s requirements.

  • Data Management, Security and Compliance:

    • Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures for HR data.

    • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all HR systems.

    • Establish security standards for HR information, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and best practices.

    • Oversee year-end SoX audit responsibilities (Internal and External for HR systems)

  • Process Improvement and Automation:

    • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline HR processes using technology solutions.

    • Implement and manage HR technology projects to improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR techno-functional professionals with expertise in HR process architecture, process re-engineering methodologies, system configuration, and change management to adopt the latest digitization deployments within the function.

    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in HR transformations fueled by digitization strategies of the scale of Verizon.

  • Proven track record of creating multi-year HR process and technology roadmaps significantly improving the employee experience.

  • In Depth knowledge of industry leading HR business processes.

  • Proven leader of change management that fosters credibility across many stakeholders in HR, Technology, and vendors delivering high user adoption and satisfaction metrics.

  • Technology Savvy leader who is very current and relevant in working with various platform or solution leaders

  • Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
